We organized a traveling contemporary design exhibition based on the methods and techniques of traditional European handicrafts. The exhibition provided an excellent opportunity to study the effects of traditional knowledge on present-day design and applied arts. First, we launched a call for proposals for the exhibition and the related competition. We invited works of contemporary design and applied artworks that creatively reflected or reimagined European traditional craft know-how. The types of artworks were varied, including industrial design, media and animation, metallurgy, ceramics, textile and fashion, jewelry, product design, glass, digital art, and more. We collected the selected works of art, and they traveled to the partner countries, with exhibitions held at five locations across four countries. Exhibited artworks: 30 + student works.
